Here's a quick shot of the West Noble Middle School kids who earned or were invited by a friend who received a Charger Character award this school year! The group went to Indiana Beach and had great weather, and by all accounts, everyone had a great time!
We also have an update from the IHSAA State Finals, where senior Kayle Jordan was competing in shot put.
Jordan started her day with the best of her three throws, sending the pill 36-05.75, but that's the furthest she would throw it at the North Central High School campus. Jordan would go 35-02.5 and 36-01.5 in her next two throws, landing in 24th place overall and outside the qualification window for the finals.
Jordan, the school record holder in the shot put at 42-4.25, concludes a spectacular career that had her make the IHSAA State Finals in both shot put and discus among her four years, was a four-time NECC and four-time sectional champ in the shot put.
The event champion was Western's Ellyse Walden, who's best toss of the day went 47-08.5 to secure top honors.

The Chargers shot a 409 team score and didn't have any of its five qualify for the regional round, ending its season.
Nolan Kelly had the top round for West Noble, the senior rallying from a 50 on the back nine to start his round to finish with a 44 on the front to conclude at 94. Blake Jones had a teeter totter start of his day, but finished four better on the front half to end with a 102. Blake Ewell (106) and Tristen Reed (107) rounded out the scoring columns for the Chargers, which had Gavin Keene land the fifth score (113).
Home cooking was key for the tourney, as host Northridge won the team title at 329, Westview second at 337 and Fairfield, also a Meadow Valley dweller, was third at 340 as the three teams to advance to next week's regional. Graduation for our West Noble High School class of 2026 is set for this Sunday, June 7. Commencement begins at 2 p.m. in the high school gymnasium and is free to attend. We ask those who are attending in person, please enter through door 22, which is on the north side of the school. Due to construction, we will have all other doors unavailable for the ceremony.

The West Noble High School Spring Athletic Awards Program will be held at West Noble Middle School on June 2nd at 7 p.m. due to the construction at the high school. Parents and spring athletes are encouraged to attend. The beginning of the program will take place in Charger Hall. Please enter door 1 at the middle school.
Our most recent Spotlight on Success at West Noble was our theatre production team, Theatre33.
Theatre33 is dealing with some clutter and headaches now, but the short term pains will hopefully be long term gains. Renovations to the stage, storage areas and the theatre hub in general this summer should help Theatre33 bring better show productions in the future.

Just a reminder for the families who have kids attending summer school.
Breakfast and lunch will be served on Mondays through Thursdays in the month of June.
The 2026 summer school meals will be served at West Noble Primary in conjunction with summer school classes. Breakfast/Lunch will be for anyone up to 18 years of age. Must eat in the cafeteria only. No take-outs.
Breakfast time: 7:30-8 a.m.
Lunch time: 11-11:45 a.m.

The West Noble Early Intervention class had a very busy but fun and chaotic week, including a Water Day and the Pre-K graduation. Kudos to instructional leader Sarah Hursey and her crew for leading this children into their next steps in education, and doing it in a fun, positive and inviting space.
Thursday night saw the end of the road for the West Noble boys track team pending any state callbacks after the results of the Warsaw Boys Track Regional.
The Chargers had eight events represented, but none of the finishes cracked the top three to advance to Bloomington next weekend.
The closest to the cutline was Dustin Richardson in the high jump, clearing 6-3 but finishing fifth overall. Richardson, a state finalist a year ago in the high jump, was also 13th in the 100 dash trials (11.41).
Xy'Mire Barnes-Bridges was seventh in the finals of the long jump (21-2) and Ethan Yates was eighth in the finals of the discus (146-5).
On the track, Graysen Ruch was active in both the 1600 (8th, 4:33.24) and 3200 (9th, 9:48.26), Jackson Christlieb scored points in the 400 (8th, 50.81) and Nathan Troxel concluded his West Noble track career with a 13th place in the 800 (2:09.96).

Tournament baseball ended for West Noble Wednesday evening in its Fairfield Baseball Sectional matchup with NorthWood. The Panthers hung six runs in the first and then blew the gates off with a 12-run second inning en route to a 20-3 win.
Trey Shisler had an RBI for the Chargers, which bow out of the 2026 season at 6-16 overall.

West Noble Primary capped its spring semester with its awards program for kindergarten and first grade. Principal Brian Shepherd presented track champions for each class, attendance awards and each teacher issued awards for their Color Spots and classroom performance.

We have a state finalist! Kayle Jordan returns to Bloomington for the third time as a thrower, having placed third at last night’s Goshen Girls Track Regional. Jordan, who was seeded second coming into the night, sent her best toss 39-10.25 to lock up an automatic qualifier for next week’s state meet. This is Jordan’s second trip to state in shot put, also reaching the finals as a freshman. The four-time sectional champion was also a discus state finalist in 2023 and 2024.
Gimena Aguilar saw her spectacular high school track career come to an end, but finished with a pair of top-10s at Goshen. Aguilar, who is headed to St. Francis to continue her track career, was sixth in the 100 (12.61) and ninth in high jump (5-1). She also helped the 4x100 relay to an 11th place finish (50.88).
Trinity Parson also saw her senior season come to a close, but was active in three events. The 4x800 relay team opened the night with a 10th place finish (10:01.51) and Parson was 13th in the 3,200 (12:22.15) and 15th in the 1,600 (5:36.03).
Girls tennis saw its historic season conclude Tuesday in the semi-finals of the Fort Wayne Girls Tennis Regional. Despite the momentum of its first sectional title since 1991, the Lady Chargers couldn’t completely solve Fort Wayne Dwenger in a 3-2 loss. Ava DeLong and the doubles duo of Darcy Ritchie and Aubrey Hilbish won their courts for West Noble, which close the season with an impressive 17-5 mark.
Softball also had its final chapter written Tuesday, losing 22-1 to Fairfield in the semi-finals of the NorthWood Softball Sectional. West Noble opened the game in stunning fashion, getting a ringing RBI double from Izzy Beers, who missed a homer by just a couple feet. Brooklyn Barden, who walked to open the game, scored West Noble’s lone run.
