We have a state finalist!
Sophomore Brogan Parks will compete in his first IHSAA Wrestling State Finals after finishing in fourth place at 190 pounds at Saturday’s Fort Wayne Semi-state!
Parks used a 9-4 win in the opener against Fabien Zamudio-Gibson of Eastbrook, and then held off Eastside’s Job Richman, 14-6, to get his ticket punched to Indy next weekend. As far as seeding rounds went, Parks lost his semi-final, 4-3, to Jordan Simon was pinned by Heritage’s Jaxton Litchfield in the third place match, leaving Parks (35-6) as a four-seed for next weekend’s state prelims.
Two other Chargers were also active at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum but did not advance to the finals. Leon Bontrager was in good shape in his 113-pound matchup against Wabash’s Jae’lin Collins, and held a 14-12 lead going into the third period. But an injury to Bontrager (18-5) saw his tournament season end, as Collins got a fall three seconds into the third period.
At 138 pounds, Gavin Christman won his first round matchup against Madison-Grant’s Kayden Simpson, scoring a pin at 4:24. But in the ticket round, Homestead’s Hunter Douglas was too much in a 21-5 tech fall, ending Christman’s senior season at 33-6 overall.
Thank you to West Noble assistant principal, Michael Reyes, for the photos from Fort Wayne.

It was a Royal morning to be a King or Queen at West Noble Primary.
The royals rode their chariots to Burger King and Dairy Queen to feast on the finest meats and cheeses in all the Ligonier. The Kings of course at Burger King, the Queens at Dairy Queen, as part of the annual celebration for Royal Day at the Primary.
As always, we send our deepest sentiment to the management and employees at both establishments for not only hosting our royal subjects, but serving with a smile, and with punctuality!
A royal feast, indeed!

Remember a few weeks back when we announced our West Noble High School senior, Julian Campos, earned a life-changing scholarship? He just earned a second major scholarship.
Campos was named a 2026 Evans Scholar, which paired with the Lilly Endowment he also earned, has set Campos up to be nearly debt free as he plans to attend the University of Notre Dame in the fall.
Read reactions from Campos in this tremendous honor and how he plans to use the Evans Scholarship in his journey.
Unbelievably proud of you, Julian!

It was a short-lived postseason for the West Noble Lady Chargers. Falling behind by double digits in the first quarter, West Noble couldn't catch Columbia City in an eventual 58-26 loss in the opening matchup of the IHSAA Class 3-A Girls Basketball Sectional at Tippecanoe Valley.
Elyse Mead led the Lady Chargers with 13 points in the season finale, which has West Noble's roller coaster season wrap up at 7-15 overall.
