It's as much a part of Thanksgiving as the turkey.
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has brought decades of joy to those attending and watching across the country. Using the parade as inspiration, West Noble Primary carried its Thanksgiving Week tradition with the first graders creating their own parade 'floats' and making their way down '34th Street' as their schoolmates looked on.
Great job on the floats, and hope everyone has a great holiday break!

Daniel Hager has really shown a penchant for putting the pieces together. His work in technology is impressive, which included an opportunity to compete on a National level. Take a look into Hager's technological journey here:

Slow down there, buddy!
Life has been moving quickly for West Noble Elementary principal Mark Yoder, who sped through his 60th birthday Thursday. The whole school and staff celebrated with Yoder in the gym, and the birthday boy took time slow down and pose with his birthday cake.
Congrats Mr. Yoder on reaching a new milestone, hope you had a great birthday!

The annual West Noble Middle School candy bar fundraiser was once again well received and a success, drawing in $31,000 worth of chocolate sales, which is wild.
This year's top seller is Virgil Rassner, a WNMS fifth grader, who sold 16 boxes of chocolates. Second place was right behind with 15 boxes, and that was WNMS sixth grader Cameron Bontrager. The two won gift cards for $100 and $50, respectively.
The middle school is also hosting an ice cream party and treasure chest drawing on Nov. 13.
Congrats to Virgil and Cameron, and woohoo for everyone who helped give back to their school!

We have an update from down state!
West Noble sophomore Graysen Ruch has completed his run at the IHSAA Cross Country State Finals, placing 103rd overall with at time of 16:26.7. Not too shabby considering there were 249 runners in the field and Ruch was just a couple tenths from cracking the top 100 and just over five seconds back of landing inside the top 80.
Of note from the race was a slight upset at the finish line for the state championship, where Springs Valley's Calvin Seitz held off a hard-charging Noah Bontrager of Westview in what was a photo finish, Seitz getting a slight lean at the line to claim the title at 15:01.3. Bontrager had come into the state meet as the top seed and was a two-time track distance event champion in the spring.
Congrats to Ruch, running in his first IHSAA Cross Country State Finals! And special thanks to 'Mrs. Coach Photography - Jen Flora - for capturing some moments on site this afternoon in Terre Haute!

Absolute heartbreak tonight in Ligonier.
A two-score lead evaporated in the second half as Angola rallied to knock out West Noble from the Class 3-A sectional, 21-20.
West Noble had receiving touchdowns from McKale Bottles and Trevor Steele along with a rushing score from Trey Shisler. The Hornets scored the go-ahead touchdown with two minutes left in the game and held the Chargers on downs in the final gasp for the hosts.
Angola will host Garrett next Friday in the sectional championship.
The Chargers' season ends at 8-3 overall, but one of the largest senior classes in program history will go into the record books as a two-time NECC division champion and winners of 36 regular season games in their four years.
Thank you to the seniors who have left an indelible mark on the program!

Cross Country's trail ends this weekend in Terre Haute, and West Noble will have someone in the field. Sophomore Graysen Ruch has qualified for the IHSAA Cross Country State Finals and is ready to add his name to the program's long list of historical success.
Take a minute to hear from Ruch and his coach, Mike Flora, and check out the scenes from this morning's tour Ruch took through the West Noble buildings!
Best of luck Graysen, get after it!
