The West Noble FFA is pleased to announce that it will have its greenhouse open to the public this week!
The facility, located behind West Noble High School adjacent to the football parking lot, will be open 3:30-5 p.m. daily until all the plants are gone. There's a big variety of items to peruse, from hanging baskets to impatients, daisies to salvia, and a host of different types of herbs, mints and vegetables.
Come on out and spruce up your landscape or kitchen table, and help our FFA program in the process!

The power stayed on this time, at least for most of the show!
After having to reschedule due to a town-wide power outage last week, the first graders at West Noble Primary got their first grade graduation in earlier this evening. A handful of songs included 'Months of the Year' and 'This Little Light of Mine' sung via candlelight under a cloak of darkness. The final song of the night was a localized remix of Journey's 'Don't Stop Believin' with a West Noble Primary special touch.
Each of the eight classes were able to be announced as they walked across the stage, everyone posing for a moment with their teacher in both the early and late sessions.
Congrats to our first graders as they start their prep to the elementary next year!

Some of the real heroes of our school district are in the nurse's offices, caring for and helping 'nurse' our kids back to health!
We thank our nurses for all of their care, patience and willingness to do some of the true dirty work in our schools!
Thank you!

A little breaking news this evening as West Noble's boys and girls track teams both completed the sweeps of the NECC West Division schedules to reign as conference champs! Both the Lady Chargers and Chargers finish 5-0 after both knocked off Lakeland at home Tuesday evening in the double duals.
West Noble will look to complete the ladder this Friday at the NECC Championships at Angola.
Well done ladies and gentlemen, champions indeed!

Cinco de Mayo is a special holiday at West Noble schools, and today we celebrated in style. Just at the Primary alone, they had pinatas, paletas and a special taco buffet. Each of the buildings had their own versions of celebration, one which the West Noble community continues to share and embrace!

Turning Point has sent another senior through to graduation! Giovanni Maynard has completed his required coursework at Turning Point and is on the path to graduation at West Noble this June. He still has a few classes to sew up this May, but his Turning Point journey is complete.
He was celebrated this morning among his peers and teachers, and we all wish him well as he aims to "lock in" the final steps of his educational journey!

Many years ago, I learned that 'free food is good food'. So today, I am paying it forward for a year's worth of freebies. Take a read on my first-person experience in the chair at the Fairfield Cosmetology Department as a year-long client of West Noble High School senior Melissa Ledesma. She and several of her classmates have been serving the public all school year, and should at least get consideration for you to join them next year!

They are the fiber of our schools, and we have some great leaders at West Noble. Today we honor our principals: Brian Shepherd at West Noble Primary; Mark Yoder at West Noble Elementary; Ashley Bradley at West Noble Middle and Amanda Nine at West Noble High School for their tireless work to keep our buildings moving and our students learning. Also shoutout to our assistant principals Jennifer Duncan (WNE), Michael Campbell and Gene Teel (WNMS), and Mo Trejo and Michael Reyes (WNHS) who are also on the frontlines each and every day!

WN Primary Parents and WN Staff: Due to an accident near Ligonier, power was lost at the Primary building around 1:30 PM. This was about 30 minutes before students lined up for dismissal and buses were already in route to the school. There was enough natural light and water pressure to finish out the school day and send students home at the normal time. However, since we do not know when power will be restored, we are cancelling the first grade graduation program that was scheduled for this evening. I assume we will reschedule that at a later date.
