Some photos have made their way back home from Brogan Parks' appearance at the IHSAA Boys Wrestling State Finals. Thank you to the Parks family for sending some art back, and to Pure Impact Photography for their contributions as well!
Brogan Parks put up a fight, but there's a reason why Lawrence North's Mikey White is the top-ranked 190-pounder in the nation.
White scored a takedown just seven seconds into their match in the opening round of the IHSAA Boys Wrestling State Finals, and it was a clinic for the overwhelming favorite. White scored three takedowns and eight points in nearfalls to close out the final 48 seconds of the first period for a 17-2 tech fall win over Parks.
The West Noble sophomore had a pair of escape points after White takedowns, but that was all the offense for Parks, who was making his first appearance at the State Finals.
Parks, who was a NECC, sectional and regional champion, concludes his season at 35-7 overall.

Today is a Flex Day for the West Noble School Corp. Kids are working on eLearning assignments while staff members have been involved in team meetings, online tutorials and an informal learning session with Carrie Hoffman from Parkview Health regarding the new Shared Clinic for West Noble Schools. Specifically for the clinic, this is a new benefit for West Noble staff and their families to help with medical needs. Hoffman answered questions ranging from the clinic benefits, how it relates to insurance, what types of services can be rendered, and fielded direct questions from employees.
The kids aren't on campus today, but it was still a busy day with our staff and we continue to learn and grow!

These guys right here...
Without them, who knows, but it's better having officers Shearer and Moser (and other members of the Ligonier PD) on campus keeping our events and daily life safe and sound.

We have a state finalist!
Sophomore Brogan Parks will compete in his first IHSAA Wrestling State Finals after finishing in fourth place at 190 pounds at Saturday’s Fort Wayne Semi-state!
Parks used a 9-4 win in the opener against Fabien Zamudio-Gibson of Eastbrook, and then held off Eastside’s Job Richman, 14-6, to get his ticket punched to Indy next weekend. As far as seeding rounds went, Parks lost his semi-final, 4-3, to Jordan Simon was pinned by Heritage’s Jaxton Litchfield in the third place match, leaving Parks (35-6) as a four-seed for next weekend’s state prelims.
Two other Chargers were also active at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum but did not advance to the finals. Leon Bontrager was in good shape in his 113-pound matchup against Wabash’s Jae’lin Collins, and held a 14-12 lead going into the third period. But an injury to Bontrager (18-5) saw his tournament season end, as Collins got a fall three seconds into the third period.
At 138 pounds, Gavin Christman won his first round matchup against Madison-Grant’s Kayden Simpson, scoring a pin at 4:24. But in the ticket round, Homestead’s Hunter Douglas was too much in a 21-5 tech fall, ending Christman’s senior season at 33-6 overall.
Thank you to West Noble assistant principal, Michael Reyes, for the photos from Fort Wayne.

It was a Royal morning to be a King or Queen at West Noble Primary.
The royals rode their chariots to Burger King and Dairy Queen to feast on the finest meats and cheeses in all the Ligonier. The Kings of course at Burger King, the Queens at Dairy Queen, as part of the annual celebration for Royal Day at the Primary.
As always, we send our deepest sentiment to the management and employees at both establishments for not only hosting our royal subjects, but serving with a smile, and with punctuality!
A royal feast, indeed!

Campos was named a 2026 Evans Scholar, which paired with the Lilly Endowment he also earned, has set Campos up to be nearly debt free as he plans to attend the University of Notre Dame in the fall.
Read reactions from Campos in this tremendous honor and how he plans to use the Evans Scholarship in his journey.
