Sometimes it just takes a first impression.
That was the case for Bella Barnes, who put on a show good enough on senior night to impress Huntington University into a spot in its cheerleading program.
Barnes is just the third cheerleader in the past eight years to sign a college letter of intent. Hear from Bella, her coach and the Huntington coach who just had to get a live look herself at the link below:

West Noble's performing arts were the benefactor of a set of financial donations today.
Staff member Amy Church provided private donations to each of the music, choir and Theatre33 programs at West Noble. Church, a veteran of marching band herself, was happy to present the checks to each of the program directors - Sarah Sponseller for choir, Chris and Moorea Douglas for band, and Nic Weimer for Theatre33.
Thank you to Amy for her generosity!

West Noble students hit the road to Allen County this week.
Sra. Bartlett's high school Spanish classes had the chance to see an authentic Flamenco dance performance at the Presbyterian Theater in downtown Fort Wayne. Meanwhile, the fourth graders visited the Embassy Theater in just down the road in Fort Wayne to take in the Taiko Project, a Japanese-American drum ensemble, which allowed some of West Noble's students and staff to actually partake in the action onstage.
West Noble will have a couple additional stops in Fort Wayne in the coming week, stay tuned!

Attention West Noble Middle School students!
If you haven't already heard, the Charger Fishing Club is back in session this spring, open to any WNMS student (grades 5-8). It's free to join, and odds are good you'll reel in a fish!
All fishing will take place at the pond on the middle school campus and will be supervised at all times.
If interested, pick up a form at the WNMS main office or find Mr. Schermerhorn. Those who fished in the fall and wish to fish again this spring are already good to go!
If parents have questions, you can contact Mr. Tim Schermerhorn at schermerhornt@westnoble.k12.in.us

West Noble Elementary's second grade classes took a packed house Tuesday night to the Wacky, Wacky West for its spring concert and art show.
The hallways were filled with artwork representing pieces influenced by famous creators Jackson Pollock, Paul Klee and Claude Monet, which led into the gymnasium, where students were dressed in western wear. An eight-song set began with "Whacky Whacky West" and concluded with a fair wave for "Happy Trails".
Kudos once again to WNE art instructor Tammy Bieberich and music instructor Hayley Hostetler for their dedication and guidance to yet another spectacular production! Great work, everyone!

Saturday night was one of optimism and entertainment at Stone's Hill Church as Turning Point held its annual Night of Hope fundraiser.
An evening of good food, good company and good vibes encompassed great testimonials, great entertainment, and hearts full of hope in support of Turning Point Education Center.
The fundraiser, which had special guest speaker, West Noble and Turning Point graduate Abel Zamarippa, also saw the live and silent auctions bring in over $31,000, which eclipsed last year's total by over $2,000. The night concluded with live entertainment from the Mobile Dueling Pianos.
Thank you to all who attended and helped coordinate the overwhelmingly successful event!

The final page of the story that was the 2026 West Noble gymnastics season was read on Saturday. Freshman Allie Haro and sophomore Neveah Patrick both competed as individuals at the Huntington Gymnastics Regional to round out the season schedule.
Patrick worked on bars, finishing with a 5.325 while Haro scored 8.05 on vault and 6.975 on floor, none of the scores high enough to qualify for next weekend's IHSAA State Finals.
The appearances from Haro and Patrick were the first by a West Noble gymnast since Heather Jacobs competed on beam in the 2008 regional.
Congrats on the duo for making some history and a great season overall!

Love it or hate it, we are moving clocks forward tonight..."spring forward!"
More daylight is coming!

It's one of the best days of the year: National Oreo Day!
Get after it!
Get after it!

Two of our gymnasts have another shot at a state dream. Allie Haro will compete Saturday on vault and floor, and Neveah Patrick is up on bars as part of the Huntington Gymnastics Regional.
Let's go Chargers!

The weather has been a topic of conversation lately, and they keep promising it will warm up! Then we have a fog delay today...
That said, West Noble's choir students joined together Wednesday evening at Charger Hall to perform from the series "Weather of All Kinds". The sixth, seventh and eighth grade choirs all did a two-song sampler, followed by the high school for a tune before everyone joined together to close the show with a mashup of 'Over The Rainbow' and 'What a Wonderful World'.
Very fun to see all of the choirs come together in one performance, and bravo once again to choir director Sarah Sponseller for her direction and leadership!
