Their hard work in the classroom and representing their school has been recognized two-fold.

The West Noble High School National Honor Society was noted among the Service Award of Excellence.

“We are thrilled to recognize your dedication and the incredible impact your chapter has made during the 2024-25 academic year,” noted the NHS. “Your hard work and commitment to the National Honor Society pillars have set a powerful example for schools across the country. We are honored to present your chapter with the Service Award of Excellence.

“This award is a testament to your chapter's initiative and leadership, and it highlights your positive influence within your school and community.”

The NHS, which just inducted its latest class of representatives earlier this month, is led by West Noble High School math teacher Charles Grady, who added, “West Noble High School NHS takes great pride in serving the Ligonier community year after year. Our chapter consistently raises funds for the Salvation Army through annual bell ringing, demonstrating our commitment to making a tangible impact. Members also volunteer regularly at the local food banks and build meaningful connections with seniors at Avalon Village. In addition, we honor the best and brightest educators within and around the West Noble School Corporation each year, celebrating the vital role teachers play in student success.”

Added National Association of Secondary School Principals CEO Ronn Nozoe, “The West Noble High School chapter demonstrates how powerful it can be when young leaders channel their talents toward meaningful service and positive change.”

The NASSP oversees the National Honor Society at the national level.

“The Service Award is a testament to the dedication and impact of our student leaders at West Noble, who work tirelessly each year to serve our school and community,” Grady added.

The NHS Chapter Pillar Awards are prestigious recognitions to celebrate the outstanding achievements of NHS chapters across the country. In addition to basic requirements, the chapters must have demonstrated successful activities that exemplify one or all of the core values of NHS: scholarship, leadership, service and character.
