The West Noble FFA got to show off a little this morning as the club hosted the West Noble Primary kids for a petting zoo. Easily one of the most entertaining days of the year for the FFA, they had out guinea pigs, rabbits, roosters, goats and cows for the little ones to interact with, as well as some planting and machinery opportunities. They even had a giant John Deere tractor in the lot for the kids to climb around!

Another night of Northeast Corner Conference baseball, but the backdrop was a lot more interesting.
West Noble and Eastside battled Wednesday evening at Parkview Field as part of the PSM Baseball Classic. Eastside took advantage of a couple West Noble fielding miscues, and held the Chargers to five hits in a 5-0 win, but the experience at beautiful Parkview Field offered a bittersweet parting gift.

Some of the real heroes of our school district are in the nurse's offices, caring for and helping 'nurse' our kids back to health!
We thank our nurses for all of their care, patience and willingness to do some of the true dirty work in our schools!
Thank you!

Turning Point has sent another senior through to graduation! Giovanni Maynard has completed his required coursework at Turning Point and is on the path to graduation at West Noble this June. He still has a few classes to sew up this May, but his Turning Point journey is complete.
He was celebrated this morning among his peers and teachers, and we all wish him well as he aims to "lock in" the final steps of his educational journey!

Many years ago, I learned that 'free food is good food'. So today, I am paying it forward for a year's worth of freebies. Take a read on my first-person experience in the chair at the Fairfield Cosmetology Department as a year-long client of West Noble High School senior Melissa Ledesma. She and several of her classmates have been serving the public all school year, and should at least get consideration for you to join them next year!

More celebrating to do with our testing performance this week!
West Noble High School is proud to announce we have five students that have tested out of WIDA this year.
Gaston Bachelard once said: "A special kind of beauty exists which is born in language, of language, and for language." We are celebrating this "special kind of beauty" by recognizing five students who passed their WIDA exam. Britney Coba-Reyes, Erik Delgado, Jessica Miranda-Barrientos, Allison Recendiz-Esparza and Alex Resendez all met their requirements.
The WIDA Exam is a yearly language test given to determine academic proficiency in the English language. The test is extremely difficult, and we are so proud of the hard work of all of our students!
Pictured from left to right are Coba-Reyes, Delgado, Resendez and Recendiz-Esparza; not pictured is Miranda-Barrientos.
