SUMMER CHROMEBOOK INFORMATION:
West Noble School Corporation supports an effort for all students in grades 5-11 to keep their school-issued Chromebooks at home over the summer. Students in grades K-4 will be keeping their devices at school for the summer. Having their device promotes student ownership of devices and reduces the amount of instructional time lost to collecting and distributing Chromebooks each year. If you prefer to have your child turn in the device for the summer we will be collecting devices on a limited basis in the media centers at both the Middle School and High School. Your child should report to the media center on the last day of school with his/her device and charger to turn in.
Chromebook Damage / Tech Support: The link below should be used to report any problems that your child might have over the summer with the device. The submitted form will notify the technology staff that a repair or tech support is needed and one of us will contact you directly about bringing in the device for repair. Repair LInk (Link must be used by a West Noble Student email account).
District Change: If you are moving out of the West Noble School Corporation district during the summer months, you must turn in your device and charger; otherwise, a charge will be assessed for a full replacement of the device. You can return the device and charger to the technology office during school hours.
Storing the Chromebook: Even if a student does not intend to use the Chromebook over the Summer, we ask families to simply store the device at home. Doing so guarantees that students will have access to their chromebook and charger on the first day of school. These devices do not require regular maintenance over the summer and can be safely stored on a dry shelf with the charger. Please make sure the device stays charged periodically over the summer. This helps maintain battery life.
