The Story:

On an island in the Dominican, a storm frightens a  young girl. Her friends and family tell her the story of Ti Moune to keep her calm. Legend tells that Ti Moune, a fearless peasant girl,  was found in a tree after a storm by Mama and Tonton, who adopted her and raised her into a beautiful young woman.

Ti Moune always wondered why the gods spared her and what her special purpose was in life. The four gods, earth, water, death, and love influence Ti Moune and place obstacles and challenges in her path.

One day, a handsome young man, Daniel from the rich, other side of the island crashes and Ti Moune saves him. As the rest of the story unravels, we see how the power of love can break down barriers and traditions. We find out all the reasons to tell stories: love, grief, hope, fear, pain, faith and healing.
