What started as a short pathway through a small area of planted flowers has evolved into a large and peaceful garden paved with a winding walkway of donated bricks in memory or honor of staff, students, and community members. The garden includes benches, stones, a water feature and a gazebo. Additional photos can be found in the District Photo Galleries.
After the death of two West Noble seniors in February 2010 - Brandon Replogle and Amanda Musser - classmates and community members once again banded together. A beautiful memorial stone is now in the garden with Lauren, Amanda, and Brandon's name. A walkway has also been created to the garden to make it handicap accessible. The walkway was a joint effort between West Noble and Tenneco, where Amanda Musser’s step-father is employed. A huge thank you goes out to Bare Bones, Caskey’s, Dave’s Lawn Care, J.R.’s and Eagle Ready Mix who donated all of the concrete, John Golden, Carl Coffman, and everyone who contributed their time and materials to the completion of this walkway.
The Garden is a self-funding project and donations are accepted and appreciated. If you wish to contribute to the West Noble Memorial Garden please send your check to West Noble Middle School with a memo indicating Memorial Garden.
HOW DO I ORDER A BRICK?
Memorial Garden Commemorative brick orders may be placed at any time as this is an on-going project. Brick orders will be held until we have a group of 10 or more bricks as orders to the vendor are placed in groups of 10. There may be a lapse between the time a name appears on our list and the time the brick is in place for viewing. More information is available by calling 894-3191 or clicking here for a commemorative bricks order form.
